1. Product Overview:
The Hyperbolic Hydrocyclone is applicable for oil-containing wastewater treatment in oilfields and refining enterprises. It utilizes the density difference between two liquids, generating centrifugal separation through fluid guidance structures, thereby separating oil droplets from water. The efficiency of oil-water separation primarily depends on the size of oil droplets and the density difference between oil and water; larger oil droplet sizes and greater oil-water density differences result in higher separation efficiencies.


2. Technical Features:
Compared to traditional products, our company’s oil-removal type hyperbolic hydrocyclone has enhanced product performance in hydraulic channel calculation and design, precision casting, and high-precision processing. Additionally, a steady-flow and guidance device (CSS) is set up in the core component, the swirl chamber.
1) Low resistance loss and strong adaptability to operating conditions, with optimized inlet structure and improved internal channel material to reduce erosion;
2) Ensures high-efficiency separation of the hydrocyclone through precise machining accuracy and assembly accuracy;
3) Unique oil collection port design prevents remixing of oil and water phases near the oil core;
4) Compact structure with easy and quick installation, and the overall design of the hydrocyclone facilitates maintenance and repair.

3. Technical Specifications:
Under normal circumstances:
- Inlet-outlet pressure drop loss: 300~500KPa
- For influent oil concentration of 1000~10000ppm, oil removal efficiency can reach over 95%;
- For influent oil concentration of 500~1000ppm, oil removal efficiency can reach over 90%;
- For influent oil concentration of 100~500ppm, oil removal efficiency can reach over 80%.
Oil removal efficiency needs to be analyzed based on the properties of the oily wastewater and the size of oil droplets.

4. Case Application:
Saudi Aramco IWS System Project
The entire system includes two hydrocyclones, with a water treatment capacity of 66 m³/h.

For the first-stage hydrocyclone, the influent oil concentration is 5000ppm, and the effluent oil concentration is 93-107ppm. After being treated by the second-stage hydrocyclone, the effluent oil concentration reaches 22-29ppm.
